"Attack on Titan" chapter 87 dropped some explosive revelations about the past of Titans and Grisha.

In chapter 87, Hajime Isayama revealed tons of information about their origins as it featured several flashback scenes to the time of Grisha and the other Eldia Restorationists, who were sentenced to become mindless Titans after being sold out by Zeke.

The previous chapter revealed that Grisha's first wife, Dana, was the Smiling Titan, and that the king of the Eldians, Ymir Fritz, was the first human to ever use the Titan power. This very well explains why only the Eldians are capable of being transformed into the beastly creatures.

Chapter 87 also revealed that the Eldian spy that infiltrated the Marlevan government was Kruger. He was the same person who beat up Grisha back when he was a child. Grisha also recognized a soldier named Gross, who had her sister Faye get eaten by dogs more than ten years ago.

Fans of the manga can expect chapter 88 to feature more flashbacks following the events that took place in chapter 87. The chapter will largely involve Kruger and will also show how Grisha got hold of his Titan.

Spoilers for the upcoming chapter also suggest that Kruger, who was previously revealed to be a Titan shifter, will have something to do with Grisha's transformation into a Titan.

Fans of the manga series will have to wait for another month for the release of "Attack on Titan" chapter 88.
