Arise New York! will be returning to Central Park for its seventh year this weekend, Sunday May 4, and will be partnering with CCM radio station K-LOVE. It will be a community outreach featuring an uplifting Christian concert with bluesy rock group The Paul Paoli Band and pop singer-songwriter Jeannie Ortega along with an inspiring message by Christian speaker Chris White.

It will be a jam packed day of fun activities for families that runs from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST. There will be face and nail painting, arts and crafts for kids, and a billiards trick demonstration. There is something for everyone, and last year, it was estimated around 6,500 people came. It will be a free event for anyone who is interested in having a great day.

Both The Paul Paoli Band and Jeannie Ortega have very similar testimonies even though their musical styles are quite different. Each started off as secular musicians but then felt God pull them out of that scene.

Ortega is currently working on new music and is looking forward to share it this Sunday with the fans. She is extremely excited to partake in this community outreach, especially as a girl who grew up in Brooklyn. "It's always amazing for me to share my heart and music with others. To be able to do it in the middle of Central Park is like a dream. We need a Savior in this city and I feel honored that I get to share what He's done in my life with my fellow New Yorkers," she told BreatheCast.

The Paul Paoli band are also native New Yorkers heralding from Long Island. In 2005, Paoli pulled a group of musicians for a one time concert and decided that it was good. They have been successfully play with each other ever since.

Speaker Chris White is an evangelist based in New York City who focuses on college ministry in the United States as well as Latin America. He recently published a book, "Come Follow Me: Becoming Disciples and Members of the Body of Christ."

The show takes place at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park for free from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
