Ariana Grande Wins Best New Artist at 2013 American Music Awards, Watch Great Performance of 'Tattoed Heart' Here (VIDEO)

Ariana Grande is moving up in the music industry fast. Just earlier this year, she was only provided a pre-show performance at the MTV VMA's and now last night she performed during the American Music Awards 2013 event (Watch Performance Below). 

Not only did she perform, she brought the house down with her sheer vocal talent. There were no gimmicks or distractions for her performance. It was just her voice, a few background singers and some light strings. It was as stripped down as it could be to let Grande's voice shine through and on one of the biggest stages, she delivered. 

Grande was also award with 'Best New Artist' award at the American Music Awards last night, which was her first AMA award. 

She is compared by many to a young Mariah Carey, which would be crazy by most standards, but Grande has the range and vocal ability to be one of the few to even hold that comparison. 

Ariana released her debut album Yours Truly on August 30, 2013. She has released three singles off of the album "The Way", "Baby I" and "Right There". 

If she can keep good company and keep making good personal and musical decisions, she could go down as one of the great singers of all time when it is all said and done.
