Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S6 Rumors and Specs: Summer 2014 Launch Being Touted

While neither Samsung nor Apple have made any official announcement regarding the release of the Samsung Galaxy 6 and iPhone 6 respectively, it cannot be denied that these two devices will face off as the top two smartphone devices in the world in the near future.

Here is a brief comparison of the two forthcoming smartphones based on the most reliable rumors and speculation regarding the devices.

External Casing

If rumors are to be believed, the two external casings of the two next-gen iconic devices will go for a role reversal - while Samsung Galaxy S6 is likely to have an aluminium unibody casing, the iPhone 6 could have a type of plastic-metal casing.

Operating System

While the Samsung Galaxy S6 is rumored to run on Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, Apple's iPhone 6 is expected to come with the latest Apple operating system, the iOS 8.

Screen Display

Rumors are making the rounds that both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 will have remarkably detailed screens. While the iPhone 6 is expected to come with a 1080p full Retina display, the Galaxy S6 will boast a novel Full HD plasma screen with incredible detail.

Storage

The storage features of Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 are rumored to be diametrically opposite of what is has been thus far. While it is expected that Galaxy S6 will have no less than 64 GB internal storage, expandable by 32 GB, the iPhone 6 is rumored to have a maximum 128 GB solid state storage, but again it will not be expandable. That could disappoint some smartphone fans who have been hoping Apple would allow expandable storage in its new device.

Processor

While the Galaxy S6 is rumored to have a Hexacore processor, the iPhone 6 may incorporate its recent processing capabilities, with a quad core A7 processor.

Although, both the devices are expected to have beastly specs, it is still not certain as to when they will be released. Rumors are afloat that they may be introduced sometime during late summer 2014.
