Apple iPad Air 2 Release Date Revealed: Set to Come Out Along With iPhone 6, iPad Mini 3

Apple is gearing up to release a couple of devices before the holiday season begins, and amongst the most awaited gadgets is the iPad Air 2.

Many rival manufacturers have tried to duplicate the iPad's success, but Android and Windows devices have failed to match the same level of quality and consumer appeal that Apple fans have enjoyed for the last four years.

With many tech sites ranking the iPad Air as the best tablet in the market, Apple fans are wondering whether the iPad Air 2 can top its predecessor and live up to the hype.

Analyst reports about the iPad Air have resulted in rumors about the device's superb specs. According to tech experts, the upgrade includes the brand new Apple A8 processor. It will also have an 8MP rear camera and a Touch ID similar to that of the iPhone 5.

There are also theories that the iPad Air 2 will have an A8 chip, which is expected to increase battery life and improve efficiency, and its front-facing camera will be increased to 1.5MP. Most experts believe that the design is going to be similar to that of the original iPad Air and its resolution will remain at 2048 x 1536.

The iPad Air 2 is expected to retain the same 7.9 inch screen, and will cost around $500.

Release dates for the iPad Air 2 are set for September of this year. Other Apple gadgets to be launched at the same time include the iPad Mini 3 and the much anticipated iPhone 6.
