'Ant-Man' Movie Update: Marvel Studios Releases Trailer for Upcoming Superhero Film [VIDEO]

Marvel Studios recently released the first trailer of its upcoming superhero film 'Ant-Man', which is slated for release on July 17. However, the trailer received mixed responses as some fans were disappointed, while others were left impressed.

According to Christian Post, a number of fans have said that the muscular physique of Paul Rudd, who portrays the character of Scott Lang, has impressed them. In the movie, Scott Lang is a burglar who eventually turns into a superhero and is called the Ant-Man.

Despite the fact that Ant-Man suffered a series of misfortunes during the making of the film, it is certainly not right to make any conclusion regarding the movie based on a two-minute video clip.

Initially, the original director of the film Edgar Wright abandoned the project, and it was Peyton Reed, who previously directed 'Bring it On', who took up the film's direction, and eventually finished the project.

The trailer for 'Ant-Man' shows veteran actor Michael Douglas, who portrays the character of Hank Pym, who later turns out to be the mentor of Scott Lang. It is Hank Pym who convinces the burglar to take up the responsibility of Ant-Man.

In addition, the trailer shows the main antagonist in 'Ant-Man' - Darren Cross (Corey Stroll), who assumes the identity of Yellowjacket.

In 'Ant-Man', Evangeline Lilly portrays the character of Hope Van Dyne. According to the original series' storyline, Van Dyne finally becomes the Wasp. Lilly is a popular actor who portrayed the character of Tauriel in the second and third 'The Hobbit' movies and Kate Austen in 'Lost'.
