Angie Miller: A Day in the Life of the 'American Idol' Live Tour / "You Set Me Free" Lyrics [AUDIO]

Angie Miller doesn't have any hard feelings towards America or her fellow American Idol contestants. Though she finished second-runner up [3^rd place] on Season 12, she says she's still optimistic and ready to take on what life after the show now means for her.

Though she didn't win, Miller and the other top 11 all earned a spot on the American Idol live tour, hitting cities all across the country. Though driving 14 hours in between stadium performances for an entire summer may seem like a little too much to handle for the Beverly, Massachusetts native, Angie describes life on the 'Idol' tour as pretty routine.

"We do a show every night, and it ends at 9:30 or 10 or whatever, and then we have meet-and-greets until midnight. So we're usually up for an hour or two talking about the shows. If there was any person who gave us something crazy, we talk about that. If anyone messed up on the show, we talk about it. (laughs) Then we go to bed usually about 1:30 a.m., or something like that. And bus life, it's pretty much sleeping. We sleep until we get in at the next place, pretty much." [Boston Globe]

Now being a couple months removed from being eliminated from Idol 2013, Miller says getting voted off was somewhat of a blessing in disguise.

"I'm glad that I didn't go home and have to think about it and feel sad. It was kind of cool, being voted off but then going straight to the studio and straight to rehearsing with Adam [Lambert] and Jessie J."

Though she has yet to perform with her idol Jessie J at a U.K. gig [like J promised on air], Angie says she's excited to keep working on her album and focus on the road ahead.
