Andy Mineo's 'Never Land EP' Coming Jan 28 on Reach Records (Video)

Reach Records Christian Hip-hop artist Andy Mineo announced his next music project would be an EP titled Never Land.

Mineo announced via Facebook that the EP is scheduled for a Jan 28 release.

The making of Never Land will be documented in the second season of his Saturday Morning Car-Tunez series. The Saturday Morning Car-Tunez Season 2: Making "Never Land" series will have a new episode every Saturday in January. The videos will come out on Mineo's YouTube page.

In episode 1 of Saturday Morning Car-Tunez Season 2: Making Never Land, Mineo described the EP title's dual meaning. Stating that Never Land is the place where Peter Pan went to explore his child hood and the word also means simply what it says, to never land. Like a person whose feet never touch the ground.

The EP was recorded in the Brooklyn studio JahRock'n Studios in which the rapper brought in a slew of producers and writers to collaborate with on. The New York based singer/rapper/producer stated he recorded well over the amount of records needed but was not going to stop there.

"My biggest issue with Christian music in general is that it always feels like the clean alternative of something that is already out," Mineo said in episode 1 of Saturday Morning Car-Tunez Season 2: Making Never Land.

Upon releasing the EP album cover, Mineo shockingly received a load of harsh criticism for his choice of artwork on the cover, which featured Illuminati symbolism. The Illuminati, is an alleged elite group that uses subliminal messages to demonically influence the world.

Facebook user Christy Sanchez said, "What's up with the illuminati symbols?? #disappointed."

Another fan Bheka Benedict Hlela said, "I'm clicking the unlike button...,cause you are confusing us #disappointed."

Josh Lena-Murphy also added "I want to go to Heaven not neverland."

Mineo's full-length studio album, Heroes for Sale, was released in 2013 on Reach Records founded by very successful Label mate Lecrae.

Mineo first came to Christ during an experience he had at a Christian summer camp when he was in the eighth grade, but upon going to high school with no Christian support he strayed from the faith until his freshman year in college. Now he travels the country promoting the scripture Romans 1:16.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
