Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update For the Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Samsung has recently announced its software upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. The popular Korean-made handset has recently received Android 6.0 Marshmallow as its new operating system.

However, this update is currently for the unlocked edition of the Galaxy Note 4 in Hungary. Updates for other markets may come a little bit later. Some markets are not yet ready for the update.

Rumors about the possible update for Galaxy Note 5, on the other hand, were fuelled by the recent update of Google for the Nexus devices. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is believed to have an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update before the New Year. The update would mean better performance for the handset. A screen-off memo function was also added, allowing users to take notes using the S Pen.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users will also have access to the Air Command Menu that is formerly available only in Samsung Galaxy Note 5. This recent development was partially prompted by the competitive pressure from LG, which recently updated its LG G4 for its European market.

Based on the information provided by Napdroid, which was cited by Phone Arena, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 mobile device with model number SM-N910F has received the OS update. It can be recalled that rumors about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update circulated just a few weeks ago.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is to receive an OS update by February, 2016.
