Anberlin Frontman Stephen Christian Announces Worship Album to Follow After 'Lowborn' Tour

Stephen Christian

Stephen Christian, frontman of Anberlin, just announced he is planning to release a worship album after the band finishes their final tour.

"Next for me, for about two and a half years now, I've really longed to do a praise and worship record. That for me is where my heart is, where my soul is," he said to NewReleaseTuesday.

He continued, "Whether I tour or take that seriously or whatever, right at this second it doesn't matter. The overflow of the heart, that's what the mouth speaks. That's where I'm at with that."

According to the interview, Christian said he would like to complete another project with his side group, Anchor & Braille.

Anberlin's final show as a band will be on November 26 at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL. Their last album, Lowborn, was released on July 22.

"Hello friends, it is with simultaneously heavy hearts and a spirit of celebration that we have announced our final show ever, and it is now on sale!! Wednesday, November 26 at the House of Blues in Orlando will be a special night," they initially announced on their site, "For those of you not in the central Florida area, you might want to make some travel plans and come enjoy Orlando in the Fall."

They continued, "And yes, as we have mentioned multiple times, we still have plenty more shows on our Final Tour to announce. We are not able to announce them all at once or in order, so please trust us when we say we are announcing more dates. But Orlando on Nov. 26 is the last show."
