'The Americans' Season 2 on FX / Margo Martindale Confident She'll Return as Claudia Despite New Show "The Millers" / Premiere 2014

Margo Martindale is quite the hot acting prospect these days. She was a fan favorite and pivotal part of The Americans Season 1, one of FX's breakout new series'. Martindale is now making the switch from spy drama to network comedy, The Millers.

Fans of Martinale's Claudia character on The Americans should be happy to know that though it hasn't been confirmed, she's confident she'll be returning at some point for Season 2 even though their might be some scheduling conflicts with her new show.

"That's certainly not over for me, which is a good thing."

Her Americans co-star Keri Russell isn't as optimistic about Claudia making it into Season 2, or at least not with a huge part.

"She's on this other show now. I still feel like we could weave her in one or two episodes. She's too good to let go, but I don't know how the timing works with that," says Russell.

Martindale, who's a natural at comedy says for some reason the perception of actresses who switch from comedy to drama is much more respected than the other way around.

"The thing that's interesting to me is that so many people applaud actresses who go from comedy to drama, but they weirdly look down on actresses who go from drama to comedy. Comedy's hard. It takes a lot of muscles to make it look easy."

The Americans Season 2 is expected to premiere some time in 2014.
