'American Idol' Castoff Moriah Peters Releases New Album 'Brave,' The Singer's Fearless Attitude Inspires With Mature Sound (ALBUM PREVIEW)

21-year-old Christian songstress Moriah Peters released her much anticipated album Brave July 15 on Provident Label Group showcasing the singers growth as an artist in her sophomore album since being kicked off of "American Idol" for being too wholesome.

The album features the title track "Brave" featuring rapper Andy Mineo. The song sets the tone of the album in which Peters fearlessly declares the goodness of God in her life, "This, is the soundtrack to the battles I fight in my own life," Peter said in interviews about her new release.

Peters had spoken to BreatheCast at the K-LOVE Fan Awards where she revealed that her husband Joel Smallbone (For King & Country) was involved in her upcoming album, "A new record in July, and Joel was the co-producer of that record," she said. Seth Mosley was the other producer involved in the project.

Her title track single "Brave" was followed by the single "You Carry Me," which was inspired by the poem "Footprints in the Sand."

Peters started writing songs at the tender age of 13 and later auditioned for 'American Idol', but the judges were harsh on her because of her wholesome image. She was advised, "to experience life" and "kiss a boy" before entering the music industry. Peters maintained her Godly image and saved her first kiss for her wedding day.

Peters talks about she and her husband's stance on the track "I'll wait for you" off of the new album. Brave is now available on iTunes.
