‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ Release Date, Spoilers: New Trailer Video Teases Man Inside Cage Act

'American Horror Story' will take a stroll down memory lane with its 1952-inspired season 'Freak Show'. Season 4 is set in Jupiter, Florida and will be showing the last carnival in American history featuring all the weird creatures and bizarre gimmicks.

Entertainment Weekly reported that executive producer Matt Bomer had Ryan Murphy direct the premiere episode and also cast him in a cameo appearance. Murphy, a television screenwriter and producer, also worked with Bomer on 'The Normal Heart'.

The official poster of 'American Horror Story' Season 4 is downright "crazy," but in a good sense. Kathy Bates' character, Effel Darling, is seen as a bearded lady while Jessica Lange's Elsa Mars is the center of attention as she appears like a diva. Other casts such as Michael Chiklis is playing Effel's ex-husband, while Angela Bassett plays Desiree Dupress.

Fans will also be seeing other weird characterization such as a three-legged woman, split-tongued man, and a creepy hand. The first look at the fourth season has now been released and shows a strange clip of a man inside a cage. Whatever is its significance is on the show, fans will have to wait until 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' premieres on October 8, Wednesday at 10 PM on FX to find out.
