Amanda Knox Trial Latest News: Knox Writing for Newspaper in Seattle?

Amanda Knox was living and studying in Perugia, Italy when she was accused of the murder of her English flat mate Meredith Kercher. Knox was found guilty in 2007, along with boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. The convictions were overturned on appeal in October 2011, but in March 2013 an Italian court ruled that they should face a retrial.

Since 2007 Knox has been a media highlight, as Kercher was found dead in the house they shared in Perugia, Italy. For those that may not know, Knox was a student of creative writing at the time.

Recently the editor of a small weekly newspaper, the West Seattle Herald, confirmed that Knox is working as a freelance reporter. The 27-year-old, who was controversially convicted again in absentia, has been quietly writing up local news for the past few months.

Recently there was further controversy surrounding the case when the BBC announced a movie based on the murder and its aftermath. Lawyers for convicted murderer Amanda Knox have warned BBC bosses that they may decide to sue over the controversial new film. The movie, starring Kate Beckinsale and Cara Delevingne, is based on the book 'Angel Face' by Barbie Latza Nadeau.

Knox's lawyer Luciano Ghirga has pointed out that as the case is "technically" still ongoing she may sue if the film, called The Face of an Angel, "was damaging to her image".

Mr. Ghirga also confirmed he hadn't seen the movie but added "knowing the author - that it implies that Amanda is guilty." He said, "There have already been at least two films and 12 books about the case.

In between all these, Carlo Dalla Vedova added: "She just wants the nightmare to end."

Though Knox, 26, refused to leave America to attend the hearing in Florence, Mr. Dalla Vedova said she was following the case closely.
