Amanda Knox Trial Case Latest News: Lawyers Threaten To Sue Production of New 'The Face of an Angel' Film

In 2007, Amanda Knox was accused of murdering her roommate, Meredith Kercher, in Italy while completing her student exchange program. Now, Amanda Knox' lawyers are taking some serious actions regarding the production of 'The Face of an Angel' movie.

According to KpopStarz, the movie has had a substantial effect on the media. Liuciano Ghirga, Amanda's lawyer said they would not hesitate to file a case against the movie if it interrupts the ongoing murder case trial.

According to Mail Online, the lawyer has not seen the movie yet, but from his experience, previous movies that were adapted from novels have not served the literature right.

The film is an adaptation from the book 'Angel Face' written by Barbie Latza Nadeau.

According to CNN, the novel has nothing to do with Amanda Knox murder trial case. For this reason, the author does not worry if Amanda's lawyer wants to sue her in the future.

Michael Winterbottom directed 'The Face of an Angel' which is written by Paul Viragh. Kate Beckinsale was set to join the movie as Simone Ford, presumably as Amanda Knox. Also, joining the set were Daniel Bruhl, Cara Delevingne and Genevieve Gaunt.

According to The Guardian, Tom Kington said the movie got the paparazzi busy with Amanda Knox murder case.

He said, "Winterbottom does not focus on the murder of Kercher in Perugia in 2007 but on the journalists who covered the case, who chased lawyers down the medieval alleys of the town, who waded through reams of court documents written in punctuation-free legalese and gleefully pounced on the sex life of suspect Amanda Knox."
