All Sons & Daughters has announced the release of their new single "I Surrender."

According to a press release, "I Surrender" is the latest single from Grammy and Dove Award-nominated worship group All Sons & Daughters. The single is the first from the group's upcoming album, "Poets & Saints." The album is set to be released on Sept. 2, together with a companion book and a group study guide.

Led by singers Leslie Jordan and David Leonard, All Sons & Daughters are known for their natural folk sound and lyrics that center on Jesus and engages in the life journey of being a follower of Christ.

Before "I Surrender," the group is known for its songs "Oh How I Need You," "All The Poor and Powerless," "Brokenness Aside," and "Great Are You Lord," which is currently among the top 20 most performed songs in churches.

In a statement, Jordan and Leonard said that "I Surrender" was inspired by the life of St. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226 A.D.). He was a man who was born to privilege; however, he suffered abuse from his father. Because of this, Francis attempted to escape from his father and his family's riches, resulting in him giving his clothes to his father and began to follow Christ and engage himself in a life of service to the Church.

The lyrics of the song reflect the devotion of St. Francis "The riches of this world will fade; The treasures of our God remain. Here I empty myself to owe this world; Nothing and find everything in You. I surrender, I surrender; I surrender all to You."

All Sons & Daughters are joined on the project by Pastor Jamie George, along with members of the leadership team at the group's Journey Church in Franklin, Tenn.. Together, they have produced the "Poets & Saints" curriculum, including a book penned by George, as well as a small group study guide, which are set to be released alongside the album in September.
