Former television host Bill Nye the Science Guy revealed in a recent interview that his agnostic views would lead him to eternal damnation in Hell if the Creation viewpoint depicted in the Bible is accurate.

"Let's say that I am, through my actions, doomed, and that I will go to hell," said Nye to Popular Science in an article titled 'Bill Nye Fights Back', "Even if I am going to hell, that still doesn't mean the Earth is 6,000 years old. The facts just don't reconcile."

The 58-year-old Washington, D.C native then recalled his much anticipated debate with Creationist Ken Ham at the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky on February 4.

"So," said Nye, "The worst that can happen in this debate is I lose my temper, Ken Ham is suddenly empowered, his Ark Park gets built, and it's all my fault."

Nye is best known for hosting the hit 90's children science series on the PBS network from 1993-98, before he recently appeared on the 17th season of 'Dancing with the Stars', where he was partnered with newcomer Tyne Stecklein last year.

They were eliminated early in the aforementioned season after Nye suffered an injury to his quadriceps tendon on Week 3 (on September 30, 2013).

Nye further expressed his views regarding the universe and his passionate love of science.

"We are literally made of the stuff of stars, it gives me the willies-how can this be? How can we know our place in the universe," said Nye. "We would not have this...all this, without the body of knowledge of science. And to have people suppress that, ignore that, it's certainly their First Amendment right, but it's not in our best interest. And I don't just mean the people of Kentucky or America, I mean humanity."

As a result, Charisma News editor Jennifer LeClaire expressed her thoughts regarding Nye's non-belief in Jesus Christ in her article.

"First, going to hell doesn't have anything to do with your actions-other than the ultimate action of rejecting Christ. We can't earn our salvation: 'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast' (Eph. 2:8-9). Mr. Nye, please, I don't care what you believe about the age of the Earth as much as I care about your soul. Would you please reconsider your views about hell and the Christ who can save you from this tormenting eternity? I am praying for you," said LeClaire in her report.

"I'll end with these words from [Billy] Graham: 'Don't ignore hell's reality, but most of all, don't ignore God's love for you. Instead, by a simple step of faith turn to Jesus Christ and trust Him alone for your salvation-beginning today.'"
