ACM Awards 2016 Recap, Winners And Highlights: ‘The Voice’ Blake Shelton Gets Dierks Bentley’s Microphone

"The Voice" coach Blake Shelton steals Dierks Bentley's microphone while Miranda Lambert and Anderson East had their grand entrance as a couple at the event. Also, Chris Stapleton becomes an accolade grabber at the 2016 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.

According to Perez Hilton, southern artists Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan had their performance at ACM event, performing Bryan's "Hunting, Fishing, and Loving Every Day." Then, Shelton came out and grabbed Bentley's microphone.

Later, Shelton's previous wife Lambert took the red carpet with her new partner Anderson East. According to Perez Hilton, it was the first time the two cruised the red carpet together as a couple. The "Little Red Wagon" artist wore a plunging yellow gown with a sexy slit, along with a blue necklace and pink footwear.

Lambert won the award for Female Vocalist for the seventh consecutive year and Vocal Event of the Year for her hit song "Smokin' and Drinkin'," in collaboration with Little Big Town, which was hailed as the Vocal Group of the Year.

In other news, Stapleton emerged as the event's top accolade grabber, receiving four trophies at the 51st annual ACM. The artist won the Album of the Year with "Traveller," Song of the Year with "Nobody to Blame," New Male Vocalist of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year.

Jason Aldean won as Entertainer of the Year, along with Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Bryan and Lambert, as per Rolling Stone.

Stapleton was joined by Aldean, Bentley, Church, and Brett Eldredge as nominees for Male Vocalist of the Year while Lambert was joined by Kelsea Ballerini, Jana Kramer, Kacey Musgraves, and Carrie Underwood for Female Vocalist of the Year.
