Abolition International, Founded by Natalie Grant, is Growing Into a Leading Force to End Human Trafficking & Sex Slavery in Our Lifetime (VIDEO)

Abolition International is working to shed a light on a very dark and uncomfortable issue, human trafficking and sex slavery. This is not just an issue that effects far off countries, it runs rampant in cities all across America.

There are over 21 million people that are enslaved in various forms around the world, this is higher than anytime in history. Sex trafficking is an estimated $35 billion industry with over 1 million children involved. There are over 100,000 children in America that are forced into commercial sex trade in the U.S.

Founder Natalie Grant was made aware of this in 2005 when she became exposed to the millions of women and children around the world oppressed by sex slavery. She started to research and speak with other groups and eventually founded The Home Foundation that would supply the desperate need for aftercare programs for survivors of slavery and trafficking around the world.

The Home Foundation eventually evolved into Abolition International with the leadership of Stacia Freeman, who is now the President and Executive Director. Abolition International is not involved with aftercare programs in India, Moldova, Cambodia and the U.S.

Abolition International is focused and committed on creating community and ultimately ending sex slavery in our lifetime. As the organization continues to grow, they are focused on creating model programs, standards of care, resources for shelters and quality education for lifelong abolitionists.

Right now in July, Abolition International is doing a 31 Days of Freedom Campaign to help raise more awareness. They are using the hashtag #31DaysofFreedom on Twitter and Instagram
