'A Matter of Faith' Movie Directors Dave and Rich Christiano Tackle Creation vs Evolution Debate in New Film (TRAILER)

The Christiano brothers (Rich and Dave) have just announced that they will release a new movie titled 'A Matter of Faith' that will focus on the Evolution vs. Creation debate that has affected the world for nearly two hundred years.

"Evolution is taught in our schools and universities across this great land of ours as a matter of fact," said co-director (and co-writer) Rich Christiano in a statement.

"Yet nobody can prove evolution, because no one was there at the beginning--just as no person can prove creation, since nobody was there at the beginning. Both of these teachings then become a matter of faith, not fact."

Dave echoed his brother's sentiments regarding how the theory of evolution dominates American society in the following statement in a press release: "The media writes and issues reports about evolution almost every day," said Dave Christiano, "And one thing I noticed is that these reports often change as man's ideas change."

Actress Jordan Trovillion of 'Jack Reacher' fame will star in the upcoming film, along with 'Night Court' and 'Dave's World' actor Harry Anderson, and Jay Pickett of 'General Hospital,' and (its brief spinoff) 'Port Charles' fame.

"A Christian girl, Rachel Whitaker (Jordan Trovillion) goes off to college for her freshman year and begins to be influenced by her popular Biology professor (Harry Anderson) who teaches that evolution is the answer to the origins of life," according to the official outline for the upcoming movie.

"When Rachel's father, Stephen Whitaker (Jay Pickett) senses something changing with his daughter, he begins to examine the situation and what he discovers catches him completely off guard. Now very concerned about Rachel drifting away from her Christian faith, he tries to do something about it!"

The American filmmakers hope their Christian movie will lead viewers to have more discussions regarding how humanity was really created after seeing the feature film.

"Either creation is right or evolution is right, but they both can't be correct," said Rich, "It's a worthy topic to explore."

'A Matter of Faith' will arrive in movie theaters on September 26, 2014.
