One Good Turn with Joey T. The show premiered this month with "All Over The World", the title track of The Sonflowerz latest release, as the show's theme song. Joey T. says, "When we first heard the song "All Over the World", it was perfect for the show. It gives the show opening such great energy." The Sonflowerz latest single, "More Than I Think I Am" was also part of the series' premier episode. Sisters Elissa and Becca Leander, of The Sonflowerz, were featured in November's issue of "Brio and Beyond", Focus On The Family's magazine for teen girls. The Sonflowerz met with Brio editor, Martha Krienke, earlier this year at Focus on the Family's headquarters, "Martha and the Brio staff are incredible people. We really felt blessed to connect with this ministry that shares our heart for girls," Elissa comments, "We hope to continue reaching out to Brio readers in the future!"
Worship Leader Magazine recently reviewed The Sonflowerz new album saying "...their heartfelt lyrics are outstanding. A couple tracks are so authentically worshipful that they could be incorporated in your praise set list…". In
October, "Cover Us", a worship offering off their new album, was chosen to be included in Worship Leader Magazine's compilation, "SongDiscovery", a CD sent to worship leaders across the nation.
This fall, The Sonflowerz traveled from coast to coast visiting radio stations that have been airing their music. Their first two singles, "My Adoration" (#2 CRW INSPO, #4 R&R INSPO, 417 Stations) and "Edge of My Seat" (#1 CRW IAA Chart – 3 Weeks, 174 Stations), and their new release, "More Than I Think I Am", to AC/INSPO formats, has had enthusiastic response. The Sonflowerz visited XM Radio in Washington, D.C., WJTL in Lancaster, PA, WGCR in Lewisberg, PA, WCRH in Williamsport, MD, WHCB in Bristol, TN, KARM in Visalia, CA, KAXL in Bakersfield, CA and KAMB in Merced, CA, among others. In PA, the sisters made an appearance in a local Lifeway Bookstore, for an acoustic concert and meet and greet. Elissa remarks, "It was such a memorable time singing and worshipping with everyone, right there in the bookstore!"
