Acclaimed Christian Rock band
Switchfoot , is back in San Diego, recently having come back from their tour in Australia.
Now the band is gearing up for Switchfoot Bro-Am, a benefit concert/contest to raise money for
Care House , a non-profit ministry to homeless teens, teens in crisis and young mothers in crisis pregnancies. Also simply to provide the Care House kids with a memorable day, reminding them of how much they are being loved.
The schedule for this highly publicized event includes a surfing competition featuring members of the band, plus a special concert at the historical La Paloma Theater. The event is to be held in Encinitas, California, May 14. Only Bro-Am teams, Care House Kids, and radio winners will be invited.
Switchfoot: ..."the support that we;ve received from the music scene and the surfing community over the years has been simply amazing. This is our attempt to give back to the San Diego community that has given us so much." (Switchfoot.com/Bro-Am)
The Switchfoot Bro-Am will be promoted through local radio stations (KROQ, 91X, 94.9, Star, 93.3, and more) and the national/ local press (Surfer, Transworld, MTV, Rolling Stone, and more). Every penny that is raised through this event will go to Care House.
