Rock band RED enters the home stretch of 2009 busier than ever, thanks to the strength of the material off its sophomore record, Innocence & Instinct. The third single off the album, “Mystery of You” has made it all the way to No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian Rock chart for the week of September 28th.

Innocence & Instinct’s two previous singles, “Death of Me” and “Fight Inside”, also hit No. 1 giving the band a total of eight consecutive career No. 1s including five singles from the band’s debut album End of Silence. In November 2008, the history making “Fight Inside” debuted at No. 1 on the R&R Christian Rock chart, as the first single in the history of the magazine and chart to accomplish this incredible feat.

RED has been impacting the country with headlining slots and festival appearances during the summer months, and will begin a tour titled “Class of 2009” alongside fellow rock practitioners Saving Abel, Pop Evil and Taddy Porter, starting October 27 in San Antonio, Texas. The Nashville-based group, made up of MICHAEL BARNES (vocals), ANTHONY ARMSTRONG (guitar) RANDY ARMSTRONG (bass), JASEN RAUCH (guitars), and JOE RICKARD (drums), has logged an impressive 500+ live shows since releasing the debut album End Of Silence in 2006, and has given fans a taste of new music on Innocence & Instinct while on the road in late 2008.
