Switchfoot announced dates for their �Appetite for Construction� US tour with Relient K this autumn, which features a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

The tour will kick off 16 October in Charleston, West Virginia.

�For us this tour carries more meaning than simply a reunion of friends�, said the San Diego rock band. �We're thrilled to be partnering with Habitat For Humanity, and both bands are donating $1 from every ticket sold to this amazing organisation committed to building homes for those in need here in the US and abroad. It is also a chance for us all to get plugged in to being a part of the solution in our own communities.�

In June, Switchfoot headlined the sold-out �Rock the Boat� concert, sponsored by Evan Almighty, in support of Habitat for Humanity.

The show, which featured Relient K and Jeremy Camp, was an extension of Switchfoot's charitable work. The multi-platinum band had also previously held their third annual Bro-Am surf tournament to support worthwhile organisations in their hometown of San Diego.
