At the 47th Annual Grammy Awards held February 13, 2005, in Los Angeles, Steven Curtis Chapman's ALL THINGS NEW won the honor for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album. Chapman was on hand to receive the fifth Grammy of his career and his first since 1999's SPEECHLESS.
ALL THINGS NEW released in September 2004 and has quickly lived up to its name. Chapman approached his fourteenth recording with a set of new lyrical and sonic ideas, working with a new team of musicians and proving that a veteran artist can remain innovative.
In its editorial review of ALL THINGS NEW, Amazon.com said Chapman is "Raising the bar to stratospheric heights and surpassing even his own lofty perch (see 1999's brilliant SPEECHLESS)?cthe title track alone is one of the best songs (he) has ever recorded."
CCM magazine compared ALL THINGS NEW to a broad range of artists from The Beatles and Journey to U2 and wrote, "At a point in musical history where a lot of more established pop acts aren't exactly making the best records of their careers, Chapman's reinvention demonstrates that diversity in artistry doesn't have to be a sales gimmick—just a sign of the continued maturity that often comes with experience."
Equally acclaimed is Chapman's current All Things New Tour, which resumes February 14 in Colorado Springs. For more information about the tour and Grammy Award-winning ALL THINGS NEW, go to
