Word Records (a Warner Bros./Curb co.) Austin-based Latin jam band, Salvador, announces its fourth national headline run, the “Dismiss The Mystery Tour.”
Booked by the William Morris Agency (www.wmaccm.com), Salvador begins its tour October 5th in San Diego in support of its August 29th release, Dismiss The Mystery, and visits several key fan markets including Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Albuquerque and Miami.
Salvador has earned multiple Latin Billboard Award nominations and took home the Dove Award for “Spanish Language Album of the Year” for Con Poder. The band has performed before audiences numbering in the hundreds of thousands, including Billy Graham’s final crusade in New York City. Seven years in the making and with an average of more than 100 dates a year, Salvador has built one of the most loyal and appreciative fanbases in the industry. The band’s last single, Heaven, seized a Top 5 radio position for 18 weeks on AC radio and was the 4th most played song of 2005.
The Dismiss The Mystery Tour additionally features the bands Liquid and Circleslide, along with special guest speaker, David Conteras.
Liquid’s music is a blend of Latino-tinged R&B, old-school hip-hop, and 1970s soul with rock. His debut album, Tales from the Badlands, is on Gotee/EMI.
Circleslide (Centricity Records) offers shades of pop and reverent moments of worship. The band won top prize in the “Contemporary Christian Band” category at the Gospel Music Association Music in the Rockies competition in 2003.
David Contreras’ journey led him to Washington, DC to serve in the first Administration of President George W. Bush as Deputy Director of the President’s Center for Faith Based and Community Initiatives. He now spends his time speaking to church groups, student bodies and other organizations across the US.
