Good Thing Going, by Rhonda Vincent, has a great sound that will make you fall in love with it. Moreover, it is also a pleasing mix of songs showcasing her considerable talent. You would find her all of those styles together to create a very solid and enjoyable program and never be allowed to get complacent with a quick changes in pace from I Gotta Start Somewhere to Who's Crying Baby or the excellent lyrics of World's Biggest Fool. Bluegrass Saturday Night is a joy and wraps the sessions with great fun and a sold nod to her history. Her new music never disappoints. Rhonda can also be confident in her songwriting ability, writing or co-writing five of the songs on this session and all of them keepers. She has that ability to write what she sings and put her soul into it, matching lyrics, production and vocals perfectly. The nature of Bluegrass is so relatable to everyday life. If you are a fan of bluegrass, go out and buy this record. You will love it!
"I'm Leaving," is a great fast high-octane barnburner that you will enjoy with your feet stomping. It is such a great way to start off the album that features some great upbeats and Rhonda’s exceptional voice, and also a very nice instrument-filled tune.
With Russell Moore on
"I Give All My Love To You," she sings with her whole heart about a relationship that, although it may be tough at times, it works out just fine in the end. The ballad sings of the beautiful relationship between two persons.
"Good Thing Going" is another up-tempo tune that is somewhat autobiographical to Rhonda Vincent's own life. This song is sure to be a classic for many years to come!!
"I Will See You Again" is a heartfelt ballad that will move your heart in a positive and spiritual way. Rhonda paints the picture of this song and takes you to that time and place where it came from. This song is definitely one of the gems on the album!!
In
"The Water Is Wide," Rhonda partners with country music icon, Keith Urban singing the harmony with his rugged and distinctive voice and it is just so beautiful and haunting. Rhonda's voice sounds so angelic and pure on this tune. What a great combination that immediately give you chills!!
"Bluegrass Saturday Night" takes your mind on a road trip down memory lane. It is also a self portrait of Rhonda’s hectic life and a lot of fun. Rhonda Vincent's vocals soar phenomenally and the Ragers play hard on this record. It's another song that will lift you spirits because of its clever light heartedness.
