The anticipated upcoming film End of the Spear soundtrack will feature the original film score, as well as songs inspired by the film by leading Christian artists, including BarlowGirl, Steven Curtis Chapman, Nicole C. Mullen and Mark Schultz.

The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be produced and distributed by Word Records-- one of the leading Christian music labels and a division of Warner Bros. Records-- in partnership with entertainment company Every Tribe Entertainment.
The soundtrack will release on Jan. 24, 2006, and be available at retailers nationwide.

Based on a true story, "End of the Spear" tells the account of five missionaries who were killed in 1956 by a violent society called the Waodani, who live in the eastern rainforest of Ecuador. These deaths help change the lives of both the families of the victims and the Waodani group, which ultimately departs from violence.

The event is reported to have influenced such Christian leaders as Chuck Swindoll, Pat Robertson, Nancy DeMoss and the late Dr. Bill Bright to ministry as it inspired major movements into ministry and missions in church history.

Before the release of the film on Jan. 20, churches and ministries are invited to join screenings that are scheduled to be held across the country, which began Dec. 18 in Houston, Texas.

Screenings will be held in major metropolitan areas including Sacramento, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. on Jan. 5. Group tickets and theater rentals are also available for church groups to take advantage of when it releases in some 1,200 theaters nationwide.
