Michael continues his busy 2004 schedule into the holiday season, bringing his "Christmastime Tour" to 19 cities throughout the United States in November and December, kicking off in Winston Salem, N.C. and wrapping up in Smith's hometown of Nashville, Tenn.
The "Christmastime Tour" will usher in the holiday spirit, as Smith performs perennial favorites with special guests Point of Grace and The Katinas. He remarks, "I've always loved Christmas music. It's such a treat for me to get to perform these songs each night. And it's a real honor to share the stage again with Point of Grace and the Katinas. I've toured with them before and we always have such a great time. I'm really looking forward to this."

The "Christmastime Tour" caps off a productive 2004 for the veteran singer, songwriter and producer, highlighted by the release of his latest studio album Healing Rain on October 26. Healing Rain returns Smith to his pop songwriting roots, first shown on songs for artists such as Amy Grant and Sandi Patty, along with his own voluminous body of solo work.

But Smith has never been an artist willing to rest on his laurels, this time expanding his creative partners to include co-producers Matt Bronleewe (Natalie Imbruglia, Kimberley Locke) and Sam Ashworth, and co-writers including Dan Hill and Martin Smith, together with longtime collaborator Wayne Kirkpatrick.

The new album brings together elements of both the pop music millions came to know Smith for and the emphasis on music for the church that has inhabited his heart as well as projects like Worship and Worship Again.
