EMI CMG / Universal South artist Matthew West is currently in the studio recording his highly anticipated sophomore national release, History.

His debut album, Happy, released in 2003 and was recently nominated for five Dove Awards, making him the most-nominated new artist this year.

Matthew celebrates nominations for: Song of the Year (for his 9-week, No. 1 debut single "More"*), New Artist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for "More" and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for Happy. Additionally, the CD received a Dove nod for Recorded Music Packaging of the Year.

Matthew is currently traversing the nation on the Winter Jam 2005 tour along with host NewSong and special guests tobyMac, TAIT, Building 429 and Rachael Lampa, among others. The next round of dates include:
