Nationally televised gospel music extravaganza, Gospel Superfest, will be returning to New York for its seventh annual event. Gospel Superfest New York-2, which will be held in the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn from Oct. 28-29, will be the first Superfest to repeat in a host city and venue.

“The Christian Cultural Center under the direction and spiritual leadership of Dr. A. R. Bernard, has been a true blessing to my husband and Gospel Superfest Television, and we are very grateful for their support both naturally and spiritually,” states Renita Cartwright, the show’s Co-Executive Producer.

One of the most widely distributed gospel music TV programs in the United States, Gospel Superfest, which is produced and managed by Ohio-based United Television, LLC., has extended its reach to 93 percent of all U.S. TV Households since last year, according to Nielson Media Research.

This year’s event will feature main stage performers such as Kierra Kiki Sheard, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Hezekiah Walker, Kurt Carr & The Kurt Carr Singers, Tonéx, and many others.

The show will be hosted by celebrated actor and speaker Rev. Clifton Davis, who will appear for the sixth consecutive year.

Also featured at this year’s Superfest will be the 4th Annual New Talent Showcase, which will take place on Friday Oct. 28 at midnight at the Holiday Inn-JFK in Jamaica, N.Y. The showcase has produced such noteworthy artists such as 2002 participant Lisa McClendon and last year’s winner Cynthia Turner and Heartspeak.

“Our new talent showcase is our way of sowing into the ministries of new and up coming talent”, states show founder and executive producer Dr. Bobby Cartwright, Jr. “We wish we could say yes to the numerous requests we receive every year for our main stage event, but unfortunately we just can’t. This is why in 2002 we established the New Talent Showcase as a post reception /showcase to offer opportunities for additional exposure for artists.”

“This year we are assuring that top decision makers from major recording companies will be in the room listening and hopefully, someone will get that big break!” Cartwright continues. “This is our goal, each year, to advance the kingdom of God and also to provide a national platform via national and international TV, for new and established ministries.”

Registration for the New Talent Showcase will run until Sept. 17.
