EMI CMG Distribution and Creative Trust Media (CTM), the media arm of entertainment and literary management company Creative Trust, Inc., have entered an exclusive worldwide distribution agreement to market and distribute CONVERGENCE: Where Faith and Life Meet, a series of DVD resources aimed at small groups hosted by best-selling author Donald Miller.

Releasing on November 17, the first three DVDs in the new CONVERGENCE series are:

* “Frustration and False Gods: Living in a Fallen World - Conversations with Donald Miller and Dan Allender and Tremper Longman”
* “Spiritual Practices: How to Meet God in the Everyday - Conversations with Donald Miller and Lauren Winner”
* “Breaking the Ice: Learning to Share Our Stories - Conversations with Donald Miller and Phyllis Tickle”

The DVDs, designed for church and home Bible studies and small groups, feature Miller engaged in authentic conversations with prominent Christian writers and thinkers. Each one-hour CONVERGENCE video will feature three 15-minute conversations along with bonus features.

CONVERGENCE: Where Faith and Life Meet represents a new form of small group DVD resources with honest and straightforward dialogue about what it means for Christians to live out their faith in their everyday lives. Unlike other DVD series that rely on a single person to speak and teach, the interplay between Miller and his guests is designed so that groups may listen, learn and move the conversation into their own lives.

“Frustration and False Gods: Living in a Fallen World” features renown Christian counselor and author Dan Allender and Old Testament expert and Bible translator Tremper Longman, who together have written over a dozen books including bestsellers Bold Love, Intimate Allies and Cry of the Soul. In this DVD they discuss the implications of living in a fallen world, and our tendency to turn to idols to satisfy our desires. They also explain the hope provided by God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“Breaking the Ice: Learning to Share our Stories” features Miller and writer and founding Religion Editor for Publishers Weekly Phyllis Tickle discussing the impact of our life stories and how they form our character, personalities and spirituality. This DVD offers small groups the opportunity to better understand the elements of story and how sharing our stories can help us better know each other and ourselves. This DVD explores the importance of place, people, ambition and disappointment and how God uses them as a part of His redemptive story.

“Spiritual Practices: How to Meet God in the Everyday” features Miller with Lauren Winner, best-selling author of Girl Meets God, discussing common spiritual disciplines including prayer, reading the Bible, community and keeping the Sabbath. Winner, who was an Orthodox Jew before her collegiate conversion to Christianity, shares how her upbringing helped her to better understand the spiritual disciplines. She also discusses how they are a gift from God to experience Him in our everyday lives.
