Autumn Records has announced the Fall 2008 release of renowned guitarist Dave Cleveland's new instrumental album, Beautiful Dream, featuring original compositions centered around themes of romance, serenity and peace.

Cleveland hopes Beautiful Dream will connect with listeners from all walks of life, enriching the lives of believers and reaching out with seeker-friendly appeal. An upcoming romance- themed tour and DVD with Michael O'Brien (the powerhouse vocalist of NewSong fame) is sure to spread awareness for the endeavor, and just as importantly, expand Cleveland's many outreach opportunities.

"I was struck with the idea of doing a romantic CD, but one you could put on and listen to anytime, where the melodies could bring a sense of peace and relaxation," Cleveland muses. "It could relate to a couple having a nice evening together or anyone who wants to take in some chill time. In titling the project, I just really wanted people to feel like their life is a Beautiful Dream. We have a great opportunity to live this life, and even with the hard times, it really is still beautiful. If this CD could bring healing and peace to a marriage, then we've done something that means more than music."

The actual recording process of Beautiful Dream defied convention. Cleveland boldly asked his band and production team to enter the studio without a single song written, but to simply compose in a spontaneous sonic setting, letting the Lord move in any unscripted direction. Though highly risky and quite contrary to the more structured planning of most CDs, the ensuing dozen cohesive cuts all encapsulate the album's themes of romance and tranquility.

Since Cleveland is no stranger to the studio, he felt at home taking this creative and unscripted studio liberty in the creation of Beautiful Dream. A look at his lengthy list of credits shows a dossier that is as astounding as it is diverse. In concert contexts, he's played with the illustrious likes of Steven Curtis Chapman, Twila Paris, Michael W. Smith, Crystal Lewis, Bob Carlisle and at the White House Salutes Gospel Music event, just to name a few; he's performed on CDs as varied as Chapman's GRAMMY award-winning The Live Adventure to Disney's blockbuster Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus; and he has composed numerous instrumental themes which have appeared in entertainment venues as diverse as A&E, HDTV and Super Station WGN.
