Award-winning group Avalon has re-launched its Web site and posted a series of podcasts that discuss every track on the quartet’s new album, FAITH: A HYMNS COLLECTION. ChristianMusicToday.com takes note of the project’s “stunning vocals” and calls the worshipful disc “Avalon at its best.”

Among the classic hymns lovingly reworked by the group on FAITH are “On Christ The Solid Rock,” “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee,” “Holy, Holy, Holy,” and “It Is Well.” Hear the exclusive podcasts, with Avalon members sharing stories about all thirteen tracks, plus song samples, at www.AvalonLive.com.

In related news, FAITH isn’t the only recent special delivery from Avalon. Group members Greg and Janna Long welcomed a child, daughter Julia James Long, into the world on October 13. Mother and the 7.7 pound bundle of joy are both doing well.

Finally, it won’t be long before Avalon is back on the road performing at Women of Faith conferences later this fall. Founding member Jody McBrayer announced the group has also scheduled some special Christmas shows for late November and early December.

“The Christmas concerts are always fun and we’d love to see you there,” he says.
