Amy Grant, one of the most celebrated and influential Christian artists, is working on a new hymns album:
Rock of Ages. Currently being directed by husband Vince Gill and Producer Brown Bannister (both producers of her 2002
Legacy Hymns & Faith.), the album will release through Word Records and Warner Brothers Records on May 3rd.
Several classic hymns included in this new recording are "Joyful, Joyful", "Sweet Will of God," "Abide With Me," "I Surrender All," as well as the title track, "Rock of Ages" (duet with Vince Gill). In addition to the hymns, the recording will also include new versions of "Carry You" and "El Shaddai," along with a medley of "Jesus Loves Me/They Will Know We Are Christians By Our Love/Helping Hand."
Raised in Nashville, Amy always had a strong passion for music. In 1978, she embarked on a successful music career with debut album
Amy Grant. Since then Amy has captured the hearts of thousands with her pure voice and God-loving soul. Her legacy continues to live on today. Closely following her footsteps is rising CCM artist Bethany Dillon. 16 year old Bethany reveals maturity beyond her age through her self-composed songs. With her profound lyrics and catchy voice, she has the potential to lead this generation's "Amy Grant legacy".
Having performed on stage together, Bethany Dillon also features a cover of Grant's classic song, "Lead Me On."
