Following the success of his best-selling, critically acclaimed self-titled solo debut, Spring Hill recording artist Jason Crabb is poised to impact country radio with the October 5 launch of his debut mainstream single, “Somebody Like Me,” in conjunction with Nine North Records.

Crabb says of the single, penned by Neil Thrasher and Michael Boggs, “I love the message of this song, because too often we wait around thinking it’s somebody else’s job to love on people who are hard to love when that’s what we’re put here for. This song is a great reminder to all of us to be the one to make a difference.”

“Somebody Like Me” recently made its radio debut on Cookeville, Tennessee’s Country Giant WGSQ-FM. Crabb celebrated the occasion with a visit to the station, where he met with WGSQ’s Gator Harrison and Philip Gibbons, nominees for CMA Radio Personality Of The Year.

“Jason Crabb is one of the best vocalists in any genre of music,” said WGSQ’s Gibbons. “He can bring a song to life and his single ‘Somebody Like Me’ has a powerful message we can all relate to. Jason Crabb is just amazing!”

Crabb will be traveling to country radio stations across the country this fall in support of the new single. A promotional tour, including stops at stations in the South, Northeast and Upper Midwest, is currently being planned.

Crabb is slated to perform “Somebody Like Me” on The 15th Annual Inspirational Country Music (ICM) Awards Show, to be held Thursday, October 15 at 7pm at Trinity Music City in Hendersonville, Tennessee ( www.icm-awards.com). The ICM Awards will be broadcast on the DayStar Television Network; NRB Network; and Total Living Network, among various other outlets in the United States and Canada.

Following its June 30 release, Jason Crabb debuted at #1 on Nielsen SoundScan’s Christian/Gospel Christian Retail chart; at #2 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart; and at #1 on Nielsen SoundScan’s Southern Gospel albums chart, catapulting the project to #62 on The Billboard 200 albums chart.
